• FastCGI sent in stderr: PHP message: PHP Warning: chdir(): open_basedir restriction in effect

• This error occurs because the directories the program can access are restricted by open_basedir. The solution described here is to comment out the restriction in php.ini, though doing so carries some security risk.
• The error can be seen in Nginx’s runtime error log. Command to view it:
• vi /var/log/nginx/error.log
