Why read
- A direct reference for authorization tuples, nonces and delegation state after execution failure.(editorial selection)
Editorial reading note
The checked portions are Abstract; Specification/Behavior in the pinned version. The original title is Set Code for EOAs.
Transaction type 0x04 uses authorization tuples to write a delegation marker, 0xef0100 followed by the target address, into an EOA; execution loads the target code. A tuple must use chain_id 0 or the current chain ID and pass the authority nonce check; invalid tuples are skipped. Authorization processing precedes transaction execution, and processed delegation markers are not rolled back if that later execution fails. Trace authorization validation separately from subsequent execution when studying signing risks.
