Editorial reading note
The checked portions are Abstract; Specification/Overview in the pinned version. The original title is Sign-In with Ethereum.
A standardized signed message authenticates an Ethereum account to an off-chain service, carrying scope, session details, nonces and other security parameters. Wallets display and sign SIWE messages in ERC191 format; relying parties must verify both signatures and message contents. Separate login sessions from on-chain asset authorizations and check which fields the service validates. A valid signature does not replace checking session scope.
